Design and sustainable production

When the first Troll factory opened in Smiltene, Latvia, in 1994, its 20 employees produced 200 cribs per month for the Swedish market. Today it is a completely different story. Thanks to the design and quality of Troll Nursery's products, more efficient management and new technology, Troll now has 300 employees in two factories producing 15,000 units every month. Troll Nursery's products are available throughout Europe, USA, Australia, China and have just started in Japan. When you first see a Troll product, you will notice that it is designed to meet your highest expectations. We never try to save money by using too thin or light boards and panels because at Troll we believe that a strong crib is a safe crib. You will also notice the beautiful birch woods that our products are mainly made from. Wood is a joy to work with and finishes beautifully. The forests of Latvia cover 45% of the country. Measures we have taken include using water-based paints, as well as using only non-toxic paints and glues on our furniture. We have also developed our own recycling systems which have resulted in more environmentally friendly painting lines.
